So Preppy

I have a style that is not so much unique, as it is very obvious. I can hold up a piece of clothing, and someone can say "That is very Erin." A few words to describe it might be classy or  preppy, something so simple as 'nice' may also apply.  I just enjoy dressing well. The only thing on my agenda for this day was a doctor's appointment...but that doesn't mean I can't dress well! (And I did receive quite a few compliments on this outfit.) Give it a try! Layering, when done right, tends to step up outfits a bit.

Yellow Skinnies

As you may or may not have noticed, I am currently in a "loving my colored skinnies" phase. So comfy and cute! They seem to make any outfit more snazzy!

Top: $4 Goodwill
Jeans: $15 Charlotte Russe (yellow no longer available.)
Shoes: $20
Total: $39

Belted Cardi

So many people blame their "unappealing style" on lack of time, lack of money, or the fact that "looking nice is uncomfortable." Here is proof that all of those are just excuses! This doesn't take any longer than throwing on jeans and a t-shirt...but it looks so much cuter and more pulled together. (Really, belt anything and it looks classier, haha.) And needless to say, this is incredibly comfy....who doesn't love a cozy sweater?!

Sweater: $4 GoodWill
Belt: $0 (Included with dress bought at Boston Store)
Tank Top: $5 WalMart
Pants: $30 Alloy
Shoes: $15 (sale) KMart

Hierarchy

In life, there are hierarchies...be it work structure or family. In my life, one hierarchy is fairly prominent; fashion. Typically in my world, fashion is well above comfort.  However, come fall and winter, football enters the picture, and the hierarchy changes. Now, football is on top, above fashion. Everyone has priorities!

Shirt: $10 (sale) Boston Store
Thermal: $7 WalMart
Jeans: $35 Alloy
Shoes: $15 (now $20, got mine a few years ago) KMart

Amazing Finds at Goodwill!

(Cute strappy cork sandals)

(Gorgeous vintage pumps)

Shopping at thrift stores can uncover some unbelievable (and well-priced) treasures. Found these shoes last night at GoodWill. Madly in love with both pairs. Each pair being sold for a mere $4.00. Unfortunately, they were both a size too small. I was a bit heartbroken.

These are just a fractional example of the absolutely amazing fashion items you can find at thrift stores, if you have the patience and persistence!

I'll be honest with y'all. I am pleasantly surprised by this outfit. I spent a large amount of time on Saturday (yesterday) trying to figure out what to wear today. I couldn't think of anything!! Then, poof! I popped into my closet and came out wearing this! I love a nice vintage/retro look!

Fedora

Went out last night with the family to celebrate my younger sister's birthday. As you will notice, I love hats. A lot. Some people find wearing hats to be a bit "costumey." I think you just have to match it with the right pieces to avoid the costumey look! I really loved this outfit, and it was incredibly comfortable.

Hat: $5 Antique Shop
Blazer: $25 (sale) Body Central
Sweater: $12 WalMart (few years ago.)
Jeans: $30 (sale) Alloy
Shoes: $15 KMart (they are now listed at $20, but I got them several years ago.)

Maxi Skirt and a Mohawk....

So just when you think "Hey, this girl has some great style"....I decide to throw on a hairstyle like this. Sometimes, I just like to be someone different from my norm. So, I teased my hair into a mohawk and stuck on a pair of glasses. Tah-dah!

T-Shirt: $10 WalMart
Belt: $0 came with a jacket purchased from Kohls.
Skirt: $16 WalMart (it's actually a dress. I just cut the straps off and wear it as a skirt!)

Jewelry Displays

This may come as a shock to you....but I like jewelry. (What girl doesn't ? Ok, maybe those in denial...) Anyways, the more jewelry I accumulated, the less I could fit in my jewelry boxes, and ultimately the less I would wear because I would "forget" about a piece. A few years ago, I decided to make my own jewelry rack, to display my jewelry, out in the open! Through the years I've made several more. Not only do I now evenly rotate my jewelry...but I honestly just like looking at it! It is some beautiful art!

So how do you store your jewelry?

Cozy Knits

(This picture makes me look wide....I assure you, it is just my arm along side my abdomen!)

Let it be known, I didn't change outfits even once this morning! I put this on and liked it with no changes. Super comfy! The only thing I like about the cooler weather is tights and layers!

Night Time Errands

Worked a quick 9 hour shift, got home after a few errands, made dinner and plopped on the couch. Sweety came home later and told me he had to run to the store. For some strange reason, I wanted to go! (Ok, I actually don't get to spend much time with him, so it was just an excuse to be with him more.) Hopped in the shower and got dressed. The whole process from stepping into the shower, to stepping out the door was no more than 15 minutes. This is what I threw on.

I just like to look "cute!" It didn't take any more time than throwing on a pair of sweats and hoodie, but way cuter!

Scarf: $0 (free with sweater) WalMart
Jacket: $10 GoodWill (Maurices brand.)
Jeans : $25 Alloy (Sale, regularly $40)
Shoes $15 KMart (Got them a  few years ago, now $20)

A Bit Equestrian

(Not sure if you can tell in the pic, but the blazer is navy blue, not black!)

Blazer : $6 GoodWill
Tank : $4 WalMart
Jeans : $20 (sale) Charlotte Russe
Boots : $25 (sale) Alloy

This picture doesn't do justice as to the level of cuteness that this outfit achieved. Wearing it, it seemed rather Princess Katherine (Kate Middleton.) She seems to have an easy style, that always manages to look pulled together.

Yet again, I changed a dozen times before finally settling (not that I "settled", I loved the outfit!) on this outfit. I tried it with medium wash skinnies (which didn't look too bad,) with a coral tank under the white tank for some subtle color pops via layering.

Shirt : $12 WalMart
Jeans : $16 WalMart
Boots : $16 UrbanOg(sale)

I had this outfit planned in my head...and in there, it looked spectacular. Upon wearing it, I decided that I just didn't like it. I have no clue why...I just didn't. The boyfriend told me it was phenomenal, and I was too lazy to change, so I wore it. But let the record show, that I wasn't overly fond of this outfit. (Actually, the pic does it more justice than in real life, lol.)
